HISTORY OF THE CLUB
Avion Park Cricket Club was established in 1971 and was situated at Jan Smuts Airport (now OR Tambo International Airport). Avion Park moved to its own premises in 1981 at the Avion Park Sports Complex. The Club moved from its premises at Avion Park to the Apex Sports Grounds in 2008. The Avion Park Junior section was established in 1984.
 
Avion Park participated in the Eastern Transvaal Sub-Union league and was promoted to the Northern Transvaal Epsilon league in 1989. Avion Park was the home ground of the Eastern Transvaal Sub-Union from 1984 to 1989.
The eastern Cricket Union was established in the Bowles Clubhouse at Avion Park on 12 June 1991.
