The club was formed in the early nineties and was mainly run through the primary schools by the teachers. At that time the club had mini-cricket players and three teams playing hard-ball cricket in the junior leagues. In 1999 the Eastern Cricket Union employed a coach to focus on the development of cricket in Daveyton and this has helped to improve the standard of players. The club has produced a number of players that have played in the provincial winter league teams.
